Vanessa is a born and raised San Diegan who attended San Diego State University and achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts in 2017. Post-graduation, she worked as an educator in the San Diego Unified School District before attending Concorde Career College where she would excel in her studies, graduating with honors from Concorde’s Physical Therapist Assistant program in 2021.
Vanessa completed clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedic settings, working with a variety of diagnoses including total knee replacements, rotator cuff repairs, and neurological disorders. Having worked with a diverse population, created a strong foundation for Vanessa’s hunger in becoming a top tier clinician in the world of Physical Therapy. An active participant in the Water and Sports PT Mentorship program, Vanessa is actively seeking to achieve specialty certifications through the Neuro Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute, NOMPTI.
Vanessa’s interest in Physical Therapy began with rehabilitation from sports injuries of her own. She grew up playing a variety of sports, soccer, softball, and muay thai to name a few. Vanessa continues to live an active lifestyle; in her free time, Vanessa enjoys being outdoors, social dancing, and sporting activities.
