Dr. Ling Sun, PT, DPT, completed her undergraduate studies at UCSD where she received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
She believes all things are worth trying at least once, and has participated in a wide range of activities from flag football and spearfishing to aerial acrobatics and pilates.
As a clinician, she is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they love. She uses manual techniques such as soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), active release techniques (ART), and myofascial decompression to address tissue dysfunctions. With the combination of these manual treatments and progressive exercises, she helps individuals maximize their recovery. She believes injuries are best treated not in isolation, but with consideration of the body as a whole. She holds the Certification in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) which emphasizes approaching individuals according to their unique goals and daily function.
In her spare time she enjoys Crossfit, hiking, spending time with her dog, and exploring local coffee shops.
