Ali Rios completed her undergraduate studies at California State University San Bernardino, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Exercise Science in 2017. Post-graduation, Ali attended Concorde Career College of San Diego where she received a degree in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2020.
Ali completed internships in various settings, including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehab therapy, and pediatrics physical therapy. Her PTA program provided her with a strong background in manual therapy and hands on training for a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. Her clinical practices ensured her interest in effective musculoskeletal treatment, and she fell in love with the atmosphere at WSPT.
Ali is an active participant in the Water & Sports PT mentorship program as well as working on her specialty certification through the Neuro Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Institute, NOMPTI©️. She is also in the process of working toward the highest level of orthopedic excellence through the American Physical Therapy Association Advanced Proficiency Pathway program.
Ali grew up in Austin, Texas where she enjoyed playing sports and being active outdoors. She has always had a great passion for baseball and began the physical therapy journey through her own sports injuries. She’s fascinated with the body’s capabilities, and was drawn to the process of healing through the breakdown of unique biomechanics and corrective movements.
She is a firm believer in “movement as the best medicine” and knows it’s a true blessing to be a part of helping others to return to life’s enjoyable experiences!
