Dr. Chris Lai, PT, DPT, received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in Irvine, CA. This education provided him with extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal pathologies with an emphasis on treatment and exercise progression. Prior to receiving his doctorate degree, Chris attended University of California, San Diego, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology & Neuroscience.
As a doctoral candidate, Dr. Chris has been able to collaborate with other doctoral candidates and professors in researching the validity, reliability, and accuracy of the Teslasuit in tracking joint kinematics throughout movement and gait.
As a doctoral candidate, Dr. Chris has completed multiple clinical rotations in various settings throughout Southern California including outpatient orthopedics and inpatient rehabilitation. He also has had a unique opportunity completing a sports rehabilitation clinical experience that worked with rehabilitating and treating baseball athletes at all levels.
Dr. Chris was able to develop his passion for physical therapy working as a volunteer for WSPT back in 2015 where he found joy in being able to physically help patients achieve their goals through rehabilitation. He then continued to work with WSPT as an aide prior to graduate school.
Dr. Chris was born and raised in Los Angeles, California with his parents and siblings. During his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and tennis, working out, and traveling.
